Top moments from the menswear shows
The second week of Paris Fashion Week was all about sporty, streetwear-inspired looks. The local crowd loved the mix of masculine and feminine elements seen on the runways.
Here are some of our favorite moments from the shows:
1) A model walks the runway at Saint Laurent wearing a bright pink bomber jacket with long pants that hug his figure. This look is perfect for a day out in the sun!
2) At Dior, we saw a lot of tailored suits with unique details, like an asymmetric hemline or darts in the shoulder padding. Some models even paired these classic dress pieces with sneakers for an extra edge.
3) Gucci showed off its new collaboration with Virgil Abloh and OFF-WHITE, which features skull-and-crossbones prints on detailing throughout the collection. The brand’s signature double breasted blazers and trousers were also popular this season.
Saint Laurent Debuts a New Menswear Collection
Saint Laurent’s new menswear collection debuted during Paris Fashion Week, and the French designer showed a diverse range of styles for men. The collection featured classic pieces like suits and blazers, as well as more contemporary designs like graphic tees and bombers. Saint Laurent also introduced a line of accessories, including belts and wallets featuring the brand’s iconic check pattern. The designer said that he wanted to create a “lifestyle” collection that could be worn “everywhere.”
The collection was met with mixed reactions from fashion critics. Some praised Saint Laurent’s experimentation and design innovation, while others found the prices unreasonable. Regardless, the designer is sure to continue drawing attention to his menswearcollection with future seasons in Paris and elsewhere.
The Best Dressed Men of Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week is well underway, and as always, the men’s fashion shows have been nothing short of spectacular. From cut-and-paste suits to daring tailoring, see which stars turned heads at the most popular events.
It was a big year for Saint Laurent’s designer Hedi Slimane, who debuted his first menswear collection in over two years. The show was full of sleek silhouettes and striking textures, with both traditional and nontraditional elements mixed together seamlessly. Slimane’s vision for men is unique and modern at the same time, and he managed to bring it all together flawlessly in his debut show.
Elsewhere on the catwalk, Yeezy showed off his latest line of clothing for Adidas Originals – complete with outrageous graphics and references to 70s funk music. The collection was different from anything we’ve seen from Kanye before – completely experimental – but it was definitely one of the most talked about shows of the week.
For a more traditional take on menswear, Saint Laurent’s longstanding collaborator Alexander McQueen hit the runway again this season. McQueen is known for his luxurious fabrics and intricate details – something that was evident in everything from the fit of a suit to its drape on the body. His collections are always an absolute treat to behold, so make sure to catch him if you get a chance during Paris Fashion Week!
